Let’s Talk: The Good Wife

One of the most talked show this season is The Good Wife and I don’t blame them. The show had always been the quality show with great writing and great acting with superb guest stars, but this season tops the cake. Season 4 was good, but a lot of storylines were sloppy and some characters turned for the worse. The last half of the season though kicked in high gear and the storylines hit the gas pedal and didn’t stop. I thought to myself finally the show that I fell inlove with is back. With season 5 half way done, winter hiatus, I thought it would be great what I think of the season so far and the grade I give the show.

With this season I didn’t know how far the writers were going to go or better yet what will happen. After the first half of the season is done I didn’t expect any of this to happen or be this good. Most shows lose steam after a few seasons and being on the fifth season I thought for sure it was done. Instead it became this new series, but with the same people in it, well that’s what it feels like to me and I love it. The storylines are so well written and it isn’t where there is too much happening or too many storylines that it’s hard to keep track of them.

One storyline I can’t wait to see more of is Kalinda’s storyline and what kind of role she will be playing now that she and Cary are ok again. I definitely don’t want them to be in a relationship, but rather a friendship. I wish there were more scenes with Kalinda and Alicia which would be very interesting now that they are on opposing sides. I do want more Diane and Alicia scenes and also want them to become friends again as Alicia did look up to Diane. Will and Alicia are going to break, I love this tension between them, but it is a matter of time before one or both breaks and they just kiss each other.

The storyline I have been waiting for and excited that it is coming up is the votes for the governor ship. I am hoping that Alicia leaves Peter and finds out that Will has known all along and gets angry with him. They both argue at each other, but then stop and talk calmly. They stare are each other for a minute in silence and Diane interrupts them as they are working together on this! By the end of the episode they realize it is better if they work together then always battling each other in court.

These are some of my predications of what I would like to happen the second half of season 5, what are yours? What do you think will happen? Do you think Florrick/Agos & Assoc. can work with Lockhart/Gardner? What do you think will happen to Will and Alicia with all the tension? Are you excited for the second half to focus more on Kalinda?

PCA Awards 2014

20140109-144159.jpg

The PCA awards were last night. I didn’t watch the award show as most award shows get me upset. With the PCA’s I just don’t care for people choice as the winners are fan based. This year though some of my favorite shows/actors won last night which makes me happy. Some of them will never get the recognition they deserve so it was a happy ending that they won an award.

One thing I hated though was the ones who got the win didn’t even get recognized as they were pushed aside and didn’t get to be on stage to thank whoever they wanted to thank. It really upset me that they did that.

Here are some I am glad they won!

Stana Katic

Even though it’s a year too late I am still happy Stana Katic won for best drama actress. She definitely deserves it. Even though season 6 isn’t great, she has made Castle and for years brought the show to the top. One of the underrated actress and it’s great to see her get recognized for her work even though cbs did the winning behind the stage which upsets me.

20140109-144143.jpg

Great win for Josh Charles and The Good Wife no one deserves the win more then them. The second half of season 4 and season 5 have been phenomenal and it’s one of the best quality shows out there. Josh is one of the underrated actors who has been overlooked for so many years, but this season he deserves to win every category he is in.

Congrats to all the winners and who was nominated. Everyone is well deserved.

My Top Shows P2

My Top Shows!

These shows (The Good Wife, Person of Interest, Orange is the New Black, Orphan Black, The Americans, Downton Abbey, Elementary) my list as the best shows of 2013 is simple the writing, the storylines, and of course the acting.

Elementary is one of those shows you keep watching and don’t realize you can’t stop watching because it is so good. This is the first show that I’m ok with having no couple to ship (even though I ship Watson and Holmes friendship).

I was skeptical if I was going to enjoy Downton Abbey as Matthew is dead. I honestly was angry and believed the show will not be the same in a bad way. So glad I was wrong as Series 4 is one of my favorites and enjoyed it very much. I am anxious to see what is next season is in store.

When I first saw the promo for The Americans I knew I was going to enjoy it and it will be my guilty pleasure. It turned from guilty pleasure to OMG I can’t stop watching the episodes to being obsessed with it. The wigs, the love/hate relationships, the kick ass ness, the spying is just superb.

Orphan Black I had no idea what was going on when I started watching the show. I didn’t read anything about the show and I was so confused to what exactly what was happening, but I didn’t want to stop watching. I was so intrigued by the third episode I was obsessed. Tatiana blows your mine as does Felix.

I knew a lot of the big time actors on Orange is the New Black so I gave the show a shot. I didn’t expect to enjoy the show as much. The writing is amazing as well as the dynamics on the show. So much storylines the show can go with also background stories. The crazy thing there isn’t one character on the show I dislike, even the ones I should dislike I love.

The most underrated show is Person of Interest. For 2 seasons this show has been consistent with no storyline that is boring or the main focus from the other storylines. It is the only show that my jaw drops every episode, the only show that doesn’t take think inside of the box, and takes chances. The writing is just wow and so is the acting. One of the best shows of 2013 without a doubt.

The show that has the number one spot for best show of 2013 is The Good Wife. After season 4 I thought the show was losing steam with boring storylines. Season 5 came with a bang is still going strong. The show is now a new beginning and kind of starting fresh, like it’s a new show with all the old characters. Not a lot of shows can do this and pull it off, but TGW did it and doing a great job at it.

My Top Shows 2013!

My Top Shows of 2013

This year the shows were either a big hit or a huge miss. A lot of my shows I decided to keep track of where a huge miss minus a few exceptions. That I don’t watch a whole lot I decided to do a top 7 in order. Check back in later today and see why these shows made my list.

  1. The Good Wife
  2. Person of Interest
  3. Orange is the New Black
  4. Orphan Black
  5. The Americans
  6. Downton Abbey
  7. Elementary

Best Drama Series

20130710-143222.jpg

Kicking off my dream nominations with best drama series. This was hard category as I watch a lot of drama shows. I have 7 nominations and chose 2 that I would like to win. I chose by a show by it`s whole not a few episodes.

20130710-143436.jpg

Scandal
I chose this show because this season was one if the best. Each episode was jaw dropping and there were so many twists and turns that I was always wondering what will happen next. Very few shows can have a solid second season and Scandal did not disappoint. Cast and the writing was superb.

20130710-143443.jpgOrphan Black

*My Winner*

I was late on watching this show, but so glad I started watching it. It is so mind blowing. The writing is just phenomenal. The cast is just as great and Tatiana Maslany is just wow. I haven’t seen a show like this in a long time. The mystery, story telling, and how fast paste the show is just blows my mind. This show started late and probably won’t get the nomination, but it is a show that everyone should keep an eye.

20130710-143450.jpg

Parenthood

One of the most underrated shows on right now. This past season was an emotional rollercoaster for me. By far one my favorite season. So much depth from relationships to new families to cancer. This season brought it all.

20130710-143459.jpg

Elementary

Wasn’t sure exactly if I would like this show as I watch a lot of crime shows, but this show surprised me. The chemistry (friendship vibe) between Sherlock and Holmes is spectacular. Very well written.

20130710-143506.jpg

Person of Interest

One of best season 2 from any show. It`s solid, fast paste, and draws you in. This show is consistent and its very hard for me to choose a favorite episode as each one is just as good. The cast just pulls me in and never lets go.

20130710-143512.jpg

The Good Wife

Not a solid season, but better than a lot of other shows. The writing has a lot of directions it can go and this season it chose not to go there and a lot of storylines dragged out.

20130710-143516.jpg

The Americans

* My Winner *

Once I seen the promo for this show, I knew it was going to be just as good. The writing and characters draw you in. Each episode a small layer peals and jaw drops. The acting on each character is just superb. I definitely see this show getting nominated and even a good chance at winning.

Now it’s your turn, let me know which shows you want nominated and which to win. Leave a comment below

Question: Any NCIS: LA scoop? —Kria
Ausiello: The May 14 finale will be a veritable Big Badapalooza. “It’s like a supervillains episode,” teases Barrett Foa. “Basically, every bad guy we’ve ever done battle with [is] coming back for the finale.” The returning evildoers include traitorous CIA vet Isaak Sidorov (played by Sons of Anarchy‘s  Timothy V. Murphy) and “The Chameleon” (Highlander‘s Christopher Lambert). “Big nuclear things are going down,” the actor adds. “It leaves you on the edge of your seat [and] is, of course, a great cliffhanger.”
